If it wasn’t for our amazing volunteers, Oxford Pride wouldn’t happen.
We are looking for people to join our organising committee that helps put on Pride Day, Oxford Pride Festival and events that support the community throughout the year. We particularly welcome applications from trans/non-binary/gender non-conforming people, people of colour, and people with disabilities, who are often underrepresented on Pride organising committees.
To stand for any vacant committee position you need to become a member of Oxford Pride and be at least 18 years of age, owing to restrictions on some Pride venues. Membership gives you voting rights at meetings but anyone is allowed to contribute ideas, and ask questions. To become a member of Oxford Pride, please complete our membership form.
Don’t think you have time for a committee position? Why not join us as a volunteer to help at some of our events during the year – it's a great way to meet new people and learn new skills. Due to Health & Safety and for Child Protection, all volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.

We need to ensure our events are as accessible as possible and our Accessibility Officer is vital in helping make sure that this happens.
The Oxford Pride logo has become a well-recognised icon in and around Oxfordshire. We need a Creative Officer with previous experience and a keen graphics & content creator background that keeps this brand identity going.
We need an experienced person to find appropriate artists for various events through the year and for Pride Day. The role would include the booking and management of on the day requirements of each artist.
Oxford Pride is much more than just a day and we need someone who can help organise events throughout the year, finishing with our well-loved Festival in the week before Pride Day. If you can source acts, speakers and contributors to entertain, inform and educate our audiences then this is the role for you!
To keep Pride free for all and to help put events on through the year we need regular income. This role would suit an individual who is able to research and identify grant funding, submit funding applications and have the ability to grow and gain sponsorship opportunities with local & national businesses.
Our marketplace and community stalls are vital for our Pride attendees and a great source of income for us. We need someone to process applications for both Stall and Food traders prior to the event and manage the marketplace zones on the day, you will be required to work closely with the Operations Officer.
This role is key to the success of our main annual event. Previous experience of event management is recommended and a significant time commitment. You are responsible for communicating with the licensing and event teams at the City Council prior to the event, the site layout and facilities, and ensure the safe running of the event in accordance with the HSE purple event guidelines.
The Parade Officer is responsible for organising the parade route, ensuring the it complies with licensing rules and legislation. They will work closely with the volunteer officer and the operations officer. They will also liaise with groups and paradegoers and be the point of contact for all parade enquiries.
Volunteers are essential to the running of Pride and the Volunteer Officer will play a key role in managing all elements of our volunteers from recruitment, training, retention, deployment and coordination at our events.
The role entails management of membership, filing of company statutory documents, being the first point of contact for the Charity, taking notes of all meetings including preparing & distribution of meeting agendas and minutes of meetings.
Superb position for a charity professional to become a trustee. We need a Non-Executive Director with knowledge of one or more of the following: Company & Charitable Law, Legal skills, HR Management, Risk Management, Fundraising, Health & Safety, Marketing and Financial Management to help guide our Directors and Team.
